Mark W. Tanner, Esq., a partner with the Philadelphia law firm of Feldman Shepherd Wohlgelernter Tanner Weinstock & Dodig, will participate in the 11^th Annual Pennsylvania Personal Injury Potpourri Continuing Legal Education (CLE) program to be held in Room 113 of the Pennsylvania Convention Center on Tuesday, April 7, 2009. As an example, Tanner will discuss a $7.9 million bad faith federal jury verdict against an insurer, which was considered to be the largest in Pennsylvania history. In the Jurinko vs. The Medical Protective Co., Tanner’s client was awarded more than $7.9 million - including $6.25 million in punitive damages - in a doctor's claim that his insurer's failure to offer the limits of his policy in a medical malpractice action led to a $2.5 million medical malpractice verdict against him for allegedly failing to diagnose Stephen Jurinko's skin cancer.
