Gifts of Service and Support from Staff to Partners at Feldman Shepherd Law Firm
Feldman Shepherd and its trial attorneys are committed to providing legal support to the community. Both lawyers and staff members give to philanthropic endeavors. Feldman Shepherd donates $1,000 per year per attorney to legal services such as
Philadelphia VIP,
Community Legal Services of Philadelphia,
Senior Law Center,
Support Center for Child Advocates and others. The staff raises money and gift donations each year for families much less fortunate. Feldman Shepherd also contributes one percent of all cerebral palsy case settlements and verdicts to a fund that sends families of children with cerebral palsy to Disney World. The firm has sent six families to Disney to date and anticipates sending many more.
Feldman Shepherd helped the Support Center for Child Advocates raise $112,000 by sponsoring its 6th Annual Child Advocates Golf Classic event in October 2011.
Feldman Shepherd's Mark Tanner enjoyed a round of golf with fellow attorneys Joe DeRita, Joe Pinto and Tim Lawn to benefit Child Advocates.
Feldman Shepherd participated in the 31st annual Bike MS: City to Shore Ride with attorney Evan Y. Liu, M.D., serving as the firm’s team leader. The firm's nine-person cycling team raised $3,250 to benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

In September 2010, Feldman Shepherd participated in the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s Bike MS: 2010 City to Shore Ride fundraiser. Attorney Evan Y. Liu, M.D., led the charge in organizing a 10-person cycling team which raised more than $3,000 for the nonprofit.

Each year during the holiday season the staff of Feldman Shepherd donates time, funds and/or needed items to a local charitable organization in honor of the firm’s partners and their efforts to build better lives for others.
In 2009, the Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House was the recipient of our staff’s efforts, receiving more than $500 in monetary donations and a bevy of items collected as part of a Holiday Wish List Drive organized by Kathleen Aretz. In recognition of these generous donations, two bricks reflecting the firm name were placed in the Ronald McDonald House courtyard in January 2010.
In 2008, the staff participated in the Salvation Army of Greater Philadelphia’s “Adopt-a-Family” program, which helps nearly 200 Philadelphia-area families in need each year. Through “Adopt-a-Family,” staff members, organized by Aretz, generously donated thousands of dollars in goods and gifts, including numerous gift cards, a host of household items, clothing, toys and much more.

Virtually all of the Feldman Shepherd personal injury lawyers provide pro bono legal services to those who are unable to afford to hire an attorney. The firm is also a proud supporter of the Philadelphia Bar Association’s “Raising the Bar” campaign, which helps fund more than 30 public interest law organizations that serve Philadelphia’s neediest citizens. “Raising the Bar” was started by Alan Feldman during his year as Chancellor of the Philadelphia Bar Association in 2006. Here are just a few examples of how our team gives back to the community.
