PHILADELPHIA (June 18, 2008) – The Justinian Society of Philadelphia held its general election and scholarship award luncheon on June 9, 2009. Roberta D. Pichini, Esq., Partner at Feldman, Shepherd, Wohlgelernter, Tanner, Weinstock and Dodig of Philadelphia was elected secretary.
 
Pichini, who for more than 20 years has specialized in litigating medical malpractice and product liability cases, was the first woman in Pennsylvania to be invited into the prestigious International Academy of Trail Attorneys, which has a limited membership of 500. She was elected that organization’s first woman officer in 2003. A member of the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Board of Governors from 1993 to 1996, Pichini chaired the Association’s Women in the Profession Committee in 2002 and 2003. She also serves as a delegate to the House of Representatives for the Pennsylvania Bar Association.  In 2006, she was honored with the Sandra Day O’Connor Award which was established by the Association’s Women in the Profession Committee of the Philadelphia Bar Association to honor women attorneys who have demonstrated superior legal talent, achieved significant legal accomplishments and has furthered the advancement of women in both the profession and the community.
 
Also elected to one-year terms as Justinian Society officers are chancellor, Gina F. Rubel, Esq., President and CEO of Furia Rubel Communications, Inc. of Doylestown, Pa.; vice Chancellor, Edward J. DiDonato, Esq., Partner at Fox Rothschild LLP of Philadelphia; treasurer, Gino J. Benedetti, Esq., Partner, Middle Market/Emerging Company Group at Dilworth Paxson LLP in Philadelphia.
