Biography
Carolyn (Carey) Chopko focuses her practice on representing clients and their families who have been catastrophically injured as a result of negligence.
Ms. Chopko obtained her undergraduate degree in nursing from Villanova University. She then spent four years as a registered nurse while on active duty as an officer in the United States Navy. She obtained her law degree from Villanova University School of Law, where she was a finalist and best oralist in the Reimal Moot Court competition. While at Villanova, Ms. Chopko served as a staff writer on the Environmental Law Journal. Upon graduation, she received the Arthur J. Kania award for Professional Ethics. Following graduation, Ms. Chopko served as a law clerk to the Honorable Bonnie Brigance Leadbetter of the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania.
Ms. Chopko is licensed to practice law in the States of Pennsylvania and New Jersey, but also regularly assists in trying cases throughout the United States on a pro hac vice basis. She has been admitted pro hac vice to the courts of California, Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts, New York, Tennessee, and Texas.
In 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010, Ms. Chopko was named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyers Rising Star.
